School Governing Board

The Principal of the American School of Creative Science has a responsibility for the leadership of the school, the strategic direction linked to the aims of the school and governors as well as those of the National Agenda and UAE Vision 2021.

Parents, teachers, students, and community members are encouraged to be members of the School Governing Body. In their capacity, they can help shape the school’s future direction and ensure a strong connection and sense of community between the school’s leadership and parents.

Mr. Shadi Hassan

Chair of Governors

Mr. Shadi is the Head of Administration and Academic Support at Beam. He has over 17 years of experience in Education and has been a governor for 10 years. He brings to the Governing Body a wealth of expertise in strategic development, project management, leadership and high-level of negotiating skills.

With his keen interest in educational transformation and changes, he works to meet the needs of our learners and focuses on improving efficiency, strategic communication, risk management and cost cutting strategies.

“I hope to bring an informed perspective to the discussions and decisions that we make to help our students perform at their very best, be happy and enjoy learning”.

Mrs. Samar Murad

Vice Chair of the School Governing Board

A passionate Principal of 13 years in educational leadership, and with 8 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Samar Murad has always inspired leaders at all levels in different settings to drive schools in a clear strategic direction that promotes ambitious vision. Her experience in leading NEASC and CIS accreditation processes has driven schools to improve their practices and achieve the desired outcomes of accreditation and inspection authorities. Mrs. Murad had worked with multinational professionals and gained experience in implementing the English National Curriculum, the Common Core standards, and the UAE Ministry of Education Curriculum in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

She has a proven track record of founding a school from the initial set up stage to successful practice within 2 years. She is visionary and possesses enthusiasm, resilience and commitment to lead a school of a purposeful learning culture, with focusing on developing, educating, and nurturing global leaders of faith, humanity, learning and life. She is highly committed to the UAE national agenda and the ISCS vision, mission and values.

Mrs. Murad led ISCS to achieve a very successful MOE evaluation in the academic year 2017-2018, and was awarded BEAM’s Most Dynamic Principal Award in the academic years 2017—2018 and 2018-2019, consecutively. She contributed fruitfully at a national level on improvement plans for Sharjah Private Schools and other national projects.

Under her leadership, ISCS received the Sharjah Award for Excellence in Education, as the “Most Distinguished School” from Sharjah Education Council. She earned a number of appreciation awards at national and inter-school levels.

Mrs. Samar is a chairperson of Sharjah Private Schools Principals Council. She holds a Master’s Degree in applied linguistics with distinction from Lebanon and a Master’s degree in business administration from the USA. She is currently enrolled in NPQH program for her UK national qualification of Headship.

Mrs. Majd C. Hussain

Principal

With over 28 years of experience in educational administration, leadership, and management from various British and American curriculum schools in the US, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, Mrs. Majd C. Hussain is the founding Principal of the American School of Creative Science Maliha. Mrs. Majd graduated with a bachelor’s in English Literature, from Carthage College in Wisconsin, US, and received a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education and Leadership Management, from the University of Gloucestershire, UK. She strives to create a learning community that fosters excellence, creativity, leadership, collaboration and tolerance. Majd has garnered numerous prestigious awards including the Most Inspiring CEO Award (2015), Employer of Choice Award (2015) and Chairman’s Choice "Rising Star" Award (2014), from the Bukhatir Group Management Excellence Awards.

Mrs. Shaimaa Fathy

Mrs. Shaimaa Fathy has a bachelor degree in business from Cairo University, Egypt. She is currently the Registration Manager at the school. Her journey started in ASCS at 2013 as a registration and public relations officer.

Her main aim is to make sure that there is a unified enrollment system across ASCS campuses; this includes consistency in terms of services and process, student transfers, and customer service.

In 2017, Mrs. Shaimaa won the prestigious Nujoom Award as the Customer Champion of the Year.

Mrs. Rahima Imtiaz

Governor member

Mrs. Rahima Imtiaz is the appointed psychologist at ASCS. She has a MSC in Applied Psychology and had 8 years of work experience as a Special Educator, working in Dubai with two schools rated “Good” by the KHDA, in the leading role of “Head of Special Needs”.

Rahima scored on top of her batch, for her training certification by Al Talouf training program, organized by Zayed university.

Mrs. Safaa Hammadi

Currently the parent of 3 students at ASCS, Mrs. Safaa Hammadi has attended 3 distinctive academic institutions, Michigan Saginaw Valley State University, the American University of Sharjah, and finally graduated from King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia. She is very passionate about academic excellence and cherishes contributing her knowledge and skills as a mother, and a professional, for the school board.

Mr. Khalifah Al Jizari

Mr. Khalifah Al Jaziri holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, and is completing his Master’s in Urban Planning, at the American University of Sharjah. An entrepreneur since 2003, Mr. Khalifah has been recognized for his technical innovation in the Middle East region, by companies such as Intel Corporation and Microsoft.

Mr. Khalifah is recognized as a leading entrepreneur in the UAE, featuring on several local television channels, including a UAE National Day special, honoring his achievements. He has been recognized for his achievements in the fields of entrepreneurship and environmentalism, being honored with the title Masdar Institute of Science and Technology Young Future Energy Leader.

Mrs. Summayah Al Hammadi

Mother of 3 children at ASCS, Mrs. Summayah Al Hammadi holds a bachelor’s degree in IT, from Sheikh Zayed University in Dubai. She participated in different leadership programs and worked as a volunteer at the university, and had been nominated as a Parent-Teacher Association President for ASCS.

Mrs. Dima Othman

Governor member

Mrs. Dima Othman is an English teacher at the American School of Creative Science for middle and highschool sections. She joined the school as a Homeroom Teacher, and has taught Sociology, Research Writing Methods, and College Writing Elective courses for highschool students. She has a bachelor’s degree in English, from the University of Jordan, and she is now continuing her Master’s degree in Management Leadership and Policy, at the British University in Dubai. Dima was nominated as the Parent-Teacher Association President at ASCS.

Mrs. Mariam Bin Subaih is a mother of 6 students at ASCS. Mrs. Mariam holds a bachelor’s degree in IT. She is interested in developing strategies, and hopes to gather all her efforts to get the best for our children.

Mrs. Yasmin Zyadeh

High School teacher at ASCS for two years, Mrs. Yasmin Zyadeh is currently working on applying Visible Learning strategies across the grade 9 and 10 Computer Science curriculum. She is always looking for new teaching techniques and enjoys applying new educational strategies in the classroom. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in the field of Computer Information Systems and has worked as an educator across three different countries; including, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and now in the United Arab Emirates.

Mrs. Maisaa Al Alamy

Mrs. Maisaa Alamy has been working at the American School of Creative Science (ASCS) for four years. She worked as a Homeroom Teacher, teaching both Science and English subjects. Currently, she teaches Grades 5 and 6 students. Mrs. Maisaa has experience teaching in the United States of America, and holds a degree in Biology, from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She has also previously worked at early childhood education centers and Islamic Sunday Schools. .

Mrs. Yasmin Nasr Al Din

Mrs. Yasmin Nasr-El-Din has 12 years of experience in education. She has been teaching KG students at the American School of Creative Science for five years.

Throughout her journey, she had been selected to represent the Teachers Committee, Nujoom committee, NEASC committee, and was nominated as KG2 team leader. She has the passion for teaching and continuously strives to make education an enjoyable experience.

Mrs. Aysha Farzana

Mrs. Aysha Farzana is a trained Architect and Designer, who is extremely passionate about literature and writing. She is currently engaged in freelance writing services – content creation, copy editing, journalism and more. In her free time, she likes to read, write poetry and dramatic prose. She is a polyglot and is presently pursuing studies in the Arabic language.

Having grown up across cultures in Europe and Asia, she has a unique understanding of multiculturalism and inclusivity.

As an ASCS parent and an avid believer in the ASCS philosophy, she is deeply involved with school activities and is always available for consultation or conversation.

She hopes that, in her role as a governing board member, she can affect positive growth and contribute meaningfully to the future of all the children.

Mr. Tarek Majbour

“Education should be fun and accessible to all children, empowering them to make a positive contribution to our world”, says Tarek Majbour, the Head of Academics, at the American School of Creative Science.

An enthusiastic and hardworking educator, Tarek has held several middle and senior leadership positions during the span of his rich, 16-year career, such as being the Head of the Science Department, Head of the Boys Section, and Curriculum Specialist, to name a few.

Tarek holds a Master’s degree in Education Management, Leadership, and Policy, from the British University in Dubai, and believes that ethical leadership is key to having the entire team working as one unit, with data-driven decision making and high parent involvement, acting as pillars for enhancing students’ achievements during their school journey.

Mona Al Zaabi

An experienced educational professional, Mona Al Zaabi has held several positions from being an English Teacher to being a Research Fellow at the Center of Educational Testing, Measurement, and Evaluation. Additionally, she had been a Curriculum Member at the Ministry of Education, where she had carried out training programs for English Teachers amongst government schools of the UAE.

Mona holds a Master’s degree in Education and Educational Studies, from Deakin University in Australia, as well as a diploma in Curriculum Development and Design, from Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University.
