Nurturing Responsible Digital Citizens
At The American School of Creative Science, we are cultivating digital citizenship in our students teaching them how to use technology responsibly.
As the rate of technological advancement continues to increase, the world as a whole is becoming more dependent on the Internet for day-to-day activities. And this is why it is such a crucial topic to teach our students.
Our digital citizenship curriculum is scoped and sequenced from Grade 1-9 enabling progressive development and understanding of how to use technology responsibly. Through this our students understand the benefits of technology with its power to explore, connect, create, and learn in new ways, but are also equipped with the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe when online as they are equipped with how to respond and report challenges and dilemmas. This way we are creating a positive culture around media and technology by incorporating digital citizenship education as part of our curricula.
