Mr. Ataullah Parkar – Vice-chair of Board of Governors


Ataullah is the School Principal of ISCS Nad Al Sheba. He has been a Senior Leader in schools for 7 years, including being a Head Teacher in the UK. He has worked for a number of government agencies in the strategic education departments including Ofqual as a policy advisor to the UK Government. He is currently completing his Doctorate in Education focusing on values-based education inspired through faith. Ataullah completed his National Professional Qualification for Head Teachers in 2017.

Mr. Nooraaney Muhammad Sattar – Inclusion Governor


A dedicated teacher and leader with over thirteen years working with underprivileged youth in urban American schools, Mr. Nooraaney Sattar brings extensive experience and training in school improvement to his role as Vice Principal of Teaching and Learning. His experience includes teaching science in the secondary level where, in collaboration with the science department team, earned the school its first state recognition for student attainment in a content area. After moving into school leadership, he served as Special Education Administrator in a school serving predominantly At-Risk students. There he improved the delivery of student services and built the Special Education department into a model for other schools over the course of six months. Recognized for his leadership, he was assigned as the administrator of the flagship Early College program where he led a successful team effort to increase the number of students earning college degrees while still in high school for three consecutive years.

This program consistently outperformed the US national average from its inception. He has served as a mentor for teachers and aspiring leaders. With degrees in Biology and Curriculum and Instruction, he is committed to inclusive, collaborative leadership. He is a firm proponent of increasing leadership density and works diligently to establish a positive climate and culture school-wide.

Mrs. Ekhlass Abdelrahman - Parent Governor


Mrs. Ekhlass Mustafa is a parent of two students attending ASCS Nad Al Sheba. Mrs. Ekhlass holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with long experience in knowledge management and information management in government bodies and private sector. She has a professional certificate in leadership and government excellence from Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, and Leader of knowledge (professional diploma) from American Canadian board for professional training. Mrs. Ekhlass believes that "knowledge is power", so we must arm our children with knowledge, and enhance their ability to access it through reliable and reference means, also reinforcement them to use it in the development of societies. For indeed Allah brought us forth from the earth, settled us therein to build it, to be successors generations after generations in it.

Ms. Fatima Shariff – Staff Governor


Ms. Fatima Shariff holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Secondary Mathematics from Newman University (UK) and has been an educator since 2015. She has taught both the British and American Curriculum and feels extremely satisfied with the rewards of educating the next generation. Ms. Fatima is currently teaching middle school Math and in her first year at ASCS Nad Al Sheba. She believes in “lighting the way to a better future” by facilitating the future generation through creative education. She enjoys making every lesson creative and exciting for her students and ensuring that they learn the core values of mathematical thinking. Teaching is her passion and she firmly believes “educating the mind without educating the heart is not education at all” (Aristotle).

Ms. Sara Hollis – Governor


Sara Kimberly Hollis graduated with distinction from Dalhousie University, Canada with Distinction with an Advanced Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Learning and Child Development. She also gained a distinction in her PGCEi from the University of Nottingham and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Education through the University of Nottingham. Till date Sara has over 15 years of teaching experience both within Canada and the UAE in both Primary and Secondary and has taught various subjects such as English Language, English Literature, Humanities and Psychology. Sara joined the BEAM in 2008 as an English teacher and has taken on several leadership roles serving at different times as a Head of Secondary English, Head of Higher Primary English and Head of Sixth Form. This is her third year as a Vice Principal, and whilst serving in this role, she oversaw in one of the BEAM branches a very successful MOE Evaluation outcome in the academic year 2017-2018. Known as a passionate educator, Sara recognizes the power education has to shape the future and believes that educators have the ability through their own action research to define what education looks like and can contribute to the growing body of academic research in the field of education. She sees educators as reflective practitioners who need to continuously examine the impact of their practices.

When it comes to our students, Sara firmly believes that it is our moral responsibility to develop well-rounded students, who don’t just excel academically, but also embody core values such as kindness, respect, and integrity. She recognizes that it is our duty to ensure that each child progresses and is able to pursue their own interests and contribute to their society.
