Governance

The Principal of ASCS has responsibility for the leadership of the school, the strategic direction linked to the aims of the school and governors as well as those of the National Agenda and UAE Vision 2021.

The governance structure falls into two parts; Board of Trustees which includes the CEO, DCEO members from BEAM and others invited by the chairman, and the School Board of Governors who represent all stakeholders including parents, community and staff.

Parents and community members are encouraged to be members of the School Governing Body. In their capacity, they can help shape the School’s future direction and ensure a strong connection and sense of community between the School’s leadership and parents.


Mr. Walid Ramadan

For the last four years, Mr. Walid Ramadan has been the Chief Administration Officer at Beam and witnessed the growth and transformation of Beam schools from 2 to 6in Sharjah and Dubai, providing quality education to more than 9,000 students. As the CAO, Mr. Walid is in charge of health and safety, supply chain, governmental affairs, compliance and quality control.

Prior to holding this position, and for seven straight years (2008-2015), Mr. Walid served as the principal of the International School of Creative Science, Muwaileh. During that time, ISCS was inspected by the Ministry of Education, and was recognized as Highly Effective with Distinction in all 6 Focus Areas.

During his tenure as principal of ISCS, his students consistently achieved higher results in their IGCSE and GCE exams than their counterparts in the UK. The school scored higher than the UAE average in TIMSS and PISA too.

Further, on the technological front, ISCS was declared and for 5 consecutive years as the Centre of Excellence by Promethean, the leading IWBs provider. And for 3 years, ISCS and its sister school (American School of Creative Science) in Sharjah were the only Centre of Excellence in the entire Middle-East.

Mr. Walid is a bilingual educator, certified as a teacher in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. He taught primarily ICT and Business Studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from City University, BC, Canada.

Before moving to the UAE, he worked as a principal in Jeddah, Saudi-Arabic and British Colombia, Canada. He served as a board member on different school boards in British Columbia and was the Western Provinces representative on a national school board in Toronto, Canada.

He delivered many lectures and conducted numerous workshops on education and management in Canada, Egypt, Saudi-Arabia, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.


Mrs. Majd C. Hussain

With over 28 years of experience in educational administration, leadership, and management from various British and American curriculum schools in the US, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, Mrs. Majd C. Hussain is the founding Principal of the American School of Creative Science Maliha. Mrs. Majd graduated with a Bachelors in English Literature from Carthage College in Wisconsin, US and received a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education & Leadership Management from the University of Gloucestershire, UK. She possesses She strives to create a learning community that fosters excellence, creativity, leadership, collaboration and tolerance. She has garnered numerous prestigious awards including the Most Inspiring CEO Award (2015), Employer of Choice Award (2015) and Chairman’s Choice "Rising Star" Award (2014), from the Bukhatir Group Management Excellence Awards.


Mrs. Rania Amairah

Mrs. Rania Amairah joined ASCS in October 2018. She graduated from the University of Jordan with BSc. in Plant Protection in 2002, and obtained her Master’s degree in Education - Leadership and Management, with distinction, from the British University in Dubai in 2016. She has 17 years of experience facilitating teaching and learning in different international schools in Jordan, Qatar and UAE, moving her career from teaching positions to head of department, and finally a school vice-principal.

Mrs. Rania is working on gaining the Master of Business Administration from Bedfordshire University-London. She is very passionate about schools’ improvement and strategic planning to develop schools and teaching and learning.


Mr. Mohammed Koussa

Managing the operations at the American School of Creative science since six years, Mr. Mohammed Koussa has a bachelor degree in Business and Computer Science from the Lebanese and French University and currently pursuing his studies to receive his MBA degree from the same university. With his vast experience, Mr. Mohammed is also supporting our two other branches’ operations managers in Barsha and Layyah. He is the Health and Safety officer at ASCS, overseeing the school premises, maintenance, campus security and transportation safety.

Prior to working at ASCS, he was an executive manager for two years at EVision, a web development and business solution company in Lebanon.


Mrs. Shaimaa Fathy

Mrs. Shaimaa Fathy has a bachelor degree in business from Cairo University, Egypt. She is currently the Registration Manager at the school. Her journey started in ASCS at 2013 as a registration and public relations officer.

Her main aim is to make sure that there is a unified enrollment system across ASCS campuses; this includes consistency in terms of services and process, student transfers, and customer service.

In 2017, Mrs. Shaimaa won the prestigious Nujoom Award as the Customer Champion of the Year.


Mrs. Summayah Sabri

Mrs. Sumayyah Sabri has been an educator for over 10 years. She served as a university instructor, instructed ESL to adult international students, and taught English Literature and Social Studies in private schools in the US. She moved with her family to the UAE in 2014 where she joined ASCS Maliha as a classroom teacher and later as a High School English teacher. Mrs. Sumayyah has been the NEASC Accreditation Coordinator at the school since 2017.

She has been an active member of the Teachers’ Committee since 2015, where she represents teachers at the administrative level. Mrs. Sumayyah hopes to be a voice of positive change and encourage collaboration and communication between all stakeholders.


Mrs. Rahima Imtiaz

Mrs. Rahima Imtiaz is the appointed psychologist ASCS. She has done MSC in Applied psychology and had 8 years of work experiences as Special Educator. She worked before in Dubai with two Good rated school with the leading role of «Head of Special Needs». Last year, she also got the highest score with the training certification by Al Talouf training program organized by Zayed university.


Mrs. Safaa Hammadi

Currently parent of 3 students at ASCS, Mrs. Safaa Hammadi has attended 3 distinctive academic institutions, Michigan Saginaw Valley State University, the American University of Sharjah and finally graduating from King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia. She has a very strong passion for academic excellence and would love to contribute with her knowledge and skills as a mother and professional in the school’s board.


Mr. Khalifah Al Jizari

Mr. Khalifah Al Jaziri holds a bachelor degree in Architect, and is completing his Master’s in Urban Planning at the American University of Sharjah. He has his own company since 2003 that has been recognized for its technical innovation in the Middle East region by companies such as Intel Corporation and Microsoft.

Mr. Khalifah is recognized as a leading entrepreneur in the UAE, featuring on several local television channels, including a UAE National Day special, honoring his achievements. He has been recognized for his achievements in the fields of entrepreneurship and environmentalism, being honored with the title Masdar Institute of Science and Technology Young Future Energy Leader.


Mrs. Summayah Al Hammadi

Mother of 3 children at ASCS, Mrs. Summayah Al Hammadi holds a bachelor degree in IT from Sheikh Zayed University in Dubai. She participated in different leadership programs and worked as a volunteer in the university. She was nominated as a Parent-Teacher Association President for ASCS school.


Mrs. Dima Othman

Mrs. Deema Othman is an English teacher at the American School of Creative Science for middle and high sections. She joined the school five years ago as a homeroom teacher, and she taught Sociology, Research Writing Methods, and College Writing Elective courses for High School. She got her bachelor degree in English from University of Jordan, and she is now continuing her master degree in Management Leadership and Policy at the British University in Dubai. She was nominated as the Parent-Teacher Association President at our school.


Mrs. Mariam Bin Subaih

Mrs. Mariam Bin Subaih is a mother of 6 students at ASCS. Mrs. Mariam holds a bachelor degree in IT. She’s interested in developing strategies, and hopes to gather all her efforts to get the best for our children.


Mrs. Yasmin Zyadeh

High School teacher at ASCs since two years, Mrs. Yasmin Zyadeh is currenty working on applying Visible Learning strategies across the grade 9 and 10 Computer Science curriculum. She is always looking for new teaching techniques and enjoys applying new educational strategies in the classroom. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in the field of Computer Information Systems and have worked as an educator across three different countries; including, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and now in the United Arab Emirates.


Mrs. Maisaa Al Alamy

Mrs. Maisa Alamy has been working at the American School of Creative Science (ASCS) for four years. She worked as a homeroom teacher, taught both Science and English subjects. This year, she is teaching English to Grades five and six students. Mrs. Maisa has an experience in teaching at the United States of America. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and she was working towards a degree in Biology, while simultaneously working at early childhood education centers and Islamic Sunday Schools.


Mrs. Yasmin Nasr Al Din

Mrs. Yasmin Nasr-El-Din has 12 years of experience in education. She has been teaching KG students at the American School of Creative Science for five years.

Throughout her journey, she had been selected to represent the Teachers Committee, Nujoom committee, NEASC committee, and was nominated as KG2 team leader. She has the passion for teaching and continuously strives to make education an enjoyable experience.
